Hello, friend! Welcome!
Our main motto around here is: “Idealism without realism is naivete; realism without idealism is despair.” Confession time: I really struggle with the despair part and navigating away from the realism-only-ism. Perhaps this is you too. Maybe you’re navigating a series of events that you would never have thought would meet the pages of your story. Maybe you can only see the inkblots- sans the idealism. Or maybe you’re in a wonderful season of your life but you could always use a little more hope. There is a spot for you here. Ever since we started this blog, we have been enamored with seeing God as the Author of our stories and seeing what he will do with the humble inkblots in all of our lives. We have a section for the beauty and hardships of everyday life here, devotional type posts here, our love for the literary in Book Love, our very non-glamorous story here, and we’re slowly looking to add the compelling stories of others here. Thank you for taking the time to walk alongside us, dear friend.
If one of the central messages of Inkblots of an Idealist is hope, then we felt it had to be a must to offer you 15 quotes in the form of photo messages that revolve around hope. If there is a quote (or quotes) you feel should have made the list, let us know in the comment section.
